Welcome to Toddler Dance Party!

 Welcome! We're so glad you're here. 

Here at Toddler Dance Party we have a couple core ideas around what we want to create that we wanted to share with you. 

• It's pretty cool to know things and about things. It doesn't make you a know it all, it makes you interesting. The world is a big, fascinating and wonderous. We are hopefully going to be here a while so we might as well get to know the place (with a nod to author Annie Dillard for the phrasing). 

• If learning is boring, you  might be doing it wrong. We're firm believers in what we call "edu-danceable" content and activities. There might be a place and time for sitting in chairs in rows and focusing on a whiteboard but it probably doesn't need to be today. We like to wiggle, draw, color, dance, match, doodle, sing, read, laugh.

• Sometimes life you do things alone and other times you do things with friends and family. Sometimes those people are far away and that makes doing fun things together hard. At TDP we are firm believers that we as people need connections with other people. Two of the things needed to build those connections are time and shared experiences / activities.  To support this, all of the activities on TDP can be done either solo (by yourself), side by side (with someone next to you using the same device) or "with friends" on more than on device over the internet. This last one can be with your sibling across the room on their own iPad or someone around the world.
